Musicland record shops

Well supported

Chain of Jamaican-music record shops opened by Lee Gopthal across Britain between 1967 and 1970 to serve the Afro-Caribbean community; several branches, including one on Portobello Road, were rebranded Muzik City before the chain wound down by 1977 — the retail base from which Trojan Records grew.
