Bobo Ashanti

Well supported

One of the strictest Mansions of Rastafari, founded by Prince Emmanuel Charles Edwards in Jamaica in 1958; adherents (Bobo Shanti) live communally and largely apart from wider society, wear turbans and robes, and venerate Emmanuel, Marcus Garvey and Haile Selassie as a holy trinity. The house shaped the outlook of dancehall/reggae artists such as Sizzla and Capleton.
