Aswad are a British reggae band formed in the Ladbroke Grove area of London in 1975, with founding members including Brinsley Forde, Angus "Drummie Zeb" Gaye and Tony "Gad" Robinson. Pioneers of home-grown UK roots reggae, they later moved toward a more pop-oriented sound and topped the UK singles chart in 1988 with "Don't Turn Around.".
