French reggae band formed in 2000 by music students near Paris, naming themselves after Ethiopia's Danakil Desert; their 2008 album Dialogue de Sourds, featuring the Mighty Diamonds, General Levy and Jah Mason, won best French reggae album at the 2008 Web Reggae Awards, and the band went on to found the label Baco Records.
