The Congos
Probable
The Congos are a Jamaican roots reggae harmony group whose classic lineup paired Cedric Myton's falsetto and Roydel "Congo Ashanti Roy" Johnson's tenor, solidified as a trio in 1977 with Watty Burnett. They are celebrated for the 1977 album Heart of the Congos, produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry at his Black Ark studio, widely regarded as one of Perry's masterpieces; scarce on first release, it was later reissued to wide acclaim.
