The Ethiopians

The Ethiopians were a Jamaican harmony group led by singer and songwriter Leonard Dillon (1942–2011), formed at the end of the ska era and prominent through rocksteady and early reggae. Introduced to Studio One via the Wailers, they scored the influential 1967 single "Train to Skaville," which reached the UK chart and brought them to Britain. They ranked among Jamaica's best-loved vocal groups of the mid-1960s to early 1970s.
