Birmingham artist (Steven Kapur, born 1967) of Indian Punjabi heritage who fused Jamaican ragga/dancehall with bhangra and Asian themes, pioneering 'bhangramuffin'; his 1993 single 'Boom Shack-A-Lak' (video directed by Don Letts) became an international hit and he recorded in Jamaica with dancehall producers.
