Cleveland "Clevie" Browne is a Jamaican drummer and producer, one half of the pioneering production duo Steely and Clevie with keyboardist Wycliffe "Steely" Johnson. Coming from a musical family and credited with helping pioneer drum-machine programming in reggae, he and Steely served as house producers at King Jammy's before founding their own label in 1987 and building many of the computerised riddims that defined digital dancehall. Their credits include Dawn Penn's 1994 hit "You Don't Love Me (No, No, No)" and work with acts from Gregory Peck to Foxy Brown.
