Euvin McCallus Spencer, born 1952 in Waterhouse, an original member of Black Uhuru in the early 1970s alongside Garth Dennis and Derrick "Duckie" Simpson, who sang lead on the Prince Jammy-produced Love Crisis (1977) before a long solo career and periodic Black Uhuru reunions; a 2010 Nairobi concert reportedly drew one of reggae's largest-ever African crowds outside Bob Marley's 1980 Zimbabwe show.
