Josey Wales (born Joseph Winston Sterling), nicknamed 'The Colonel' and 'The Outlaw' after the Clint Eastwood film, is a Jamaican deejay who rose to prominence in the early 1980s. He made his name on U-Roy's King Sturgav Hi-Fi sound system and later performed with Henry 'Junjo' Lawes's Volcano sound, recording hits such as 'Bobo Dread', 'Leggo Mi Hand' and the Lawes-produced album 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'. He also cut the popular 'Ballot Box' with Admiral Bailey.
