Lone Ranger (born Anthony Alphanso Waldron, 1958) is a Jamaican deejay who bridged the roots and dancehall eras with an inventive, catchphrase-driven style featuring vocal tics like 'ribbit' and 'bim'. He began recording for Studio One in the late 1970s, cutting his debut 'The Answer', and scored his signature hit with 'Barnabas Collins', recorded at Channel One with the Revolutionaries and released on the Thrillseekers label around 1980. His album 'Barnabas in Collins Wood' topped the UK reggae chart, and he was resident deejay on Virgo Hi-Fi.
