Philip "Fatis" Burrell

Philip "Fatis" Burrell (23 July 1954 - 3 December 2011) was a Jamaican record producer and founder of the Xterminator (Exterminator) label, a central force in the 1990s roots and dancehall revival. He furthered the careers of Sizzla, Luciano, Beres Hammond, Turbulence and Mikey General, often doubling as artist manager, and produced conscious roots reggae that stood apart from much of the digital dancehall of the period. He died in Kingston at the University of the West Indies Hospital after suffering a stroke.
