Tanya Stephens (born Vivienne Tanya Stephenson, 1973) is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer and deejay who emerged in the late 1990s, noted for sharp, socially observant and feminist lyrics. She broke through with the Dave Kelly-produced 1996 hit "Yuh Nuh Ready Fi Dis Yet" and later gained international recognition with "It's a Pity." She co-founded Tarantula Records and is regarded as one of the genre's most incisive lyricists.
