Peckings Records

Well supported

West London reggae shop opened in 1974 by George 'Peckings' Price at 142 Askew Road, Shepherd's Bush, and for many years the sole UK distributor of Coxsone Dodd's Studio One catalogue, a connection rooted in Price's friendship with Dodd in Jamaica. Continued by his sons as shop and label, it was honoured with a blue plaque in 2022. Source note: British Record Shop Archive and Hammersmith & Fulham Council.
