Jack Ruby Hi-Fi was the sound system operated by producer Jack Ruby (Lawrence Lindo, c.1943-1989), based in Ocho Rios rather than Kingston, which was unusual for a major Jamaican operator. Ruby parlayed the sound into production work, most famously overseeing Burning Spear's Marcus Garvey and Man in the Hills albums, and also recorded artists such as Justin Hinds and the Heptones.
