Archives, awards and scholarship as evidence
Well supported
Museums, culture yards, books, awards and university research help editors verify Jamaican music history without relying only on memory or viral clips.
The atlas should distinguish different kinds of proof: awards show reception, museums preserve artefacts and narratives, books synthesize research, and scholarship explains social context. Each claim should name what kind of source supports it.
Starter feature pending review. Awards and institutional recognition are not neutral; annotate context and limitations.
Source trail: Jamaica Music Museum; Bob Marley Museum; Trench Town Culture Yard; UNESCO ICH; Grammy; IRAWMA; UWI; major reggae-history books.
