Orville Richard Burrell, the Kingston-born, Brooklyn-raised deejay whose gruff baritone carried dancehall to the top of pop charts worldwide: "Oh Carolina" (1993), "Boombastic" (1995) and the 2001 run of "It Wasn't Me" and "Angel" that made Hot Shot the first dancehall album to top the Billboard 200. A US Marine before he was a star, and later a Grammy winner twice over.
